A church that kept moving.

Today’s Victory Church has met in four buildings in thirteen years. Not one of them was ever the point.

Alan Baggett served alongside his father, Rev. Paul A. Baggett — the Happy Pastor — at Millersville Assembly of God from 1985 to 2000. Youth pastor first, then associate, then administrator. In 2000 he and Teresa left to pastor in Fruitland Park, Florida.

They came back to Tennessee in 2003, started a graphics company called Imagine Grafix, and filled in as interim pastors wherever Middle Tennessee needed them.

2012

After a long stretch of prayer and counsel, they planted a church. Victory Outreach Ministries met on Sunday afternoons in the old Millersville Assembly of God building, sharing the space with Love’s Way Church.

In 2013 that building sold. The church moved to the Aldersgate building in Goodlettsville. In 2015 the name changed to Today’s Victory Church. In 2021 a leadership change at Aldersgate meant moving again, to Stearman Drive in White House.

Now

The church meets at 2732 US-31W in White House, in the Christ Worship Center Building. Sundays at 3pm and Thursdays at 7pm.

Four buildings. A church family that packed up and set up again every time, because the room was never what held it together.

Who this is for

The unchurched, and just as much the de-churched — people who have been in a church before and left, for reasons that were usually good ones.

The heart of it is a house of healing and restoration, physical and spiritual, built on knowing people personally rather than counting them.

Alan preaches with energy, and keeps coming back to covenant relationship with Christ and to the cross. He leads through relationships and through families rather than through programmes.

Teresa is a mother to this church. Wife, mother, grandmother, and the clearest example in the room of what staying committed to a family of believers actually looks like.
